Assise en un corps de logis
où conduisent d’anciens chemins
vit une bête
qui n’attend rien du monde
des pièces communiquent
des portes se ferment
et des nuits s’approchent
dans le parfum d’un acacia.
Toutes les bêtes de son espèce
vivent en elle.

Sitting in an apartment house
where ancient paths lead
a beast lives
who expects nothing from the world
the rooms connect
the doors close
and nights come near
in the smell of an acacia.
All the beasts of her species
live in her.
