Francis Giauque – Le soleil disloquait l’horizon…
le soleil disloquait l’horizon
comme une averse de plomb
seul dans l’éclatement du matin
je pensais à toi
qui as disparu de ma vie
il n’aurait fallu
qu’un peu de chance
pour laisser la nuit derrière nous
mais rien n’a été épargné

Francis Giauque (1934-1965) – L’Ombre et la Nuit (La Prévôté, 1962) – Oeuvres (Editions de l’Aire, 2005)
A few years back i happen to have translated this verse:
the sun dislocated the horizon
like a shower of lead
alone in the breaking dawn
I thought of you
gone from my life
we would have only needed
a bit of luck
to leave night behind
but nothing has been spared
